Dynasty League Description

This league is a pay optional league. It's $50/per team if you want to pay but you don't have to. This is a dynasty league where you keep up to 25 players of a 32 man roster (17 starters). There are 16 teams in the league. Every pay teams team name is noted after their team name with a * so you know for sure if you got money coming to you. Six teams make the playoffs, 4 division winners and 2 wild card teams. If you make the playoffs you don't get your money back but, are paid up for next year. If a pay team wins the championship, they get the pot minus the playoff teams entries. If a non-pay team wins the championship then all the remaining pot money goes in to next year's pot for the pay teams next year only. When a pot is carried over, those who have not paid in previous years will have to pay an additonal $25 for every year the pot has carried over and they did not pick up the pay option. For example, if the pot is carried over this year, anyone who was not a pay option team last year would have to pay $75 to pick up the pay option as opposed to the $50 it would cost the teams who paid the year before. If an option team wins the pot, everyone goes back to $50. The only thing I need from newcomers or people wanting to be put on the waiting list is the following:

Drops

Each year after the season has ended, and prior to the start of the next season, it is manditory for each team to drop some of their players to make room for players eligable for the upcoming draft. Teams must get their roster down to 25 players or less. If you do drop enough players to give you less than 25, and do not have the extra picks to fill your roster as a result, you will recieve untradable compensatory picks tacked onto the end of the draft to fill your roster. Each year a deadline will be set when drops are due. YOUR DROPS DO NOT BECOME FINAL UNTIL AFTER THE SCHEDULED DEADLINE!!!! Which means that you can make your drops as early as you like and only you will have exclusive rights to pick that player(s) back up and replace them with another player, up until the deadline.  This will give other teams an opportunity to get a look at who you intend to drop and maybe make an offer for someone rather than seeing them hit the draft and not getting an opportunity to pick them. It is not required that you make your drops early, but in the event you do not get your drops entered before the deadline, drops will be made for you. Drops made for a teams who miss the deadline will be automatically determined (reguardless of a player's star status) by droping the lowest scoring player from each position last season but no more than one player from each position and only enough players to satifiy the requirement to get your roster down to 25. So if you had a superstar who was injured for the season, you stashed them away, and you miss the deadline, you could potentially lose that player to the draft.

POINT IS GET THEM IN ON TIME!! BECAUSE.....

ONCE DROPS LOCK THEY ARE FINAL UNTIL TRANSACTIONS OPEN BACK UP AFTER THE DRAFT

Divisions

The divisions change each year depending on your ranking. Placement of the teams in their respective divisions goes as follows:

Championship Division:

Seeds 1, 16, 15, 14

Deuce Division:

Seeds 2, 13, 12, 11

Flex Division:

Seeds 3, 10, 9, 8

Middle Division:

Seeds 4, 5, 6, 7

Schedule

Every team plays their division 3 times and everyone else once. Each team plays 1 out of division team a 2nd time on the last week of the season. Those matchups are determined by season rank.

 Playoffs

Six teams make the playoffs, 4 division winners and 2 wild card teams. The playoffs are the last three weeks:

Week 23: #1 & #2 seeds 1st rd bye. #3 vs. #6, #4 vs. #5

Week 24: #1 vs winner of #3 vs. #6. #2 vs winner of #4 vs. #5

Week 25: Dynasty World Series!

"The #1 Overall Pick Tournament"

& The Basement Brawl

"The #1 pick tournament". The winner of this non-playoff tournament will get the #1 pick and we will start the regular order at the #2 pick. So the non-playoff team with the best record would get the #2 pick unless they won the tournament. Best records would play worst records in the first round and the 15th and 16th teams would not be involved. (They will play in the Basement Brawl in week 1 or 2 of the playoffs giving the #16 seed 1 chance to move up 1 spot.) This tounament will reseed as follows:

Week 22: #7 vs. #14, #8 vs. #13, #9 vs. #12, #10 vs. #11

Week 23: Highest Seed reamining vs. Lowest Seed ramining, the two reamining teams vs. each other.

The Basement Brawl is played. The looser of the Basement Brawl is given the #16 seed next year.

Week 24: The two final teams square off with the #1 overall pick up for grabs.

If a team has traded away their #1 pick and they win the tournament for the #1 overall pick. They will keep the #1 overall pick and will forfiet their #1 pick to the team they traded to in the following season or 1st season in which they have a number one pick of their own available. Even if the team that wins the tournament has multiple #1 picks from their own trades, the pick gets forfieted to THEIR 1st 1st round pick available not any others they have traded for.

Draft

Each year the draft is about 7 rounds but draft picks in round 1 thru 7 are tradable for any future year. If anyone has less picks than open roster spots due to trading them, they will recieve compensatory picks in the 8th round or later to finish filling their roster. Extra drop picks take precedent in draft order over extra picks given from trading. To avoid tanking at the end of the season, the non-playoff team with the best record is assured the #2 overall pick and the first pick of each round thereafter and it descends form there and then the playoff teams thereafter. There is a tournament between the #7 through #14 teams for the #1 overrall pick the next season. The playoff teams draft order is opposite: the worst record of the losing teams in that round will get the better draft position.

During the draft there will be time limits. Every year the limits will be different and be determined by me.

Your time will start from the time I send the text rounded up to the nearest half-hour and not anything else. If you miss your pick, you will get the best available that fits on your roster as projected by Fantrax no matter what their status is.
